ABOUT HER CD, Rolling Of The Stone:

Lindsey Duncan's new CD is a collection of original arrangements by this celtic harper spanning a wide variety of influence from traditional to modern. The CD includes both instrumental and vocal selections featuring a predominance of Scottish and Medieval/Renaissance music with several Irish, Welsh and Breton selections.

The title track, Rolling of the Stone, is originally an a cappella song from an old Scots ballad; Lindsey puts the tune to harp and sings the "charming" story of a young maid who bewitches her lover from his grave.

Highlights include an arrangement of 13th century German tune Winder Wie Ist, with original English words and harmony part composed by Lindsey Duncan, master-competition air Niel Gow's Lament For The Death Of His Second Wife, and a rousing and unusual harp rendition of famed fiddler Alasdair Fraser's Tommy's Tarbukas.
